Via® FormM is a viable allogenic bone allograft, in full compliance with all FDA guidelines regarding human cells, tissues and cellular tissue-based products, and is intended for use in bone remodeling. Via FormM contains cellular, bone scaffold, and bone gel components. The bone scaffold is comprised of a proprietary blend of mineralized and demineralized cortical shavings, cancellous chips, and microparticulate cortical and cancellous bone in optimum particle sizes ranging from 100-300 microns. Via FormM is offered in 2.5 cc, 5.0 cc, and 10 cc sizes. Via FormM bone scaffold, bone gel, and cell mixture allows for a cohesive fibrous moldable allograft. The hydrophobic properties of Via FormM also make it more resistant to lavage.
Via FormM is prepared with a novel DMSO-free cryoprotectant, which preserves a cell population that includes marrow-isolated adult multilineage inducible (MIAMI) cells. These primitive cells provide properties that, in combination with the osteoconductive, osteoinductive, and osteogenic elements of the graft, enhance the patient’s innate healing process.
